Most Greetings Tour murals happen on-site, painters working on buildings, walls, whatever’s there. But Cooperstown is different — the National Baseball Hall of Fame faces Northern New York’s brutal wind and weather, so we moved the whole project into our studio. The panels are Alumalite, backed with aluminum bars, engineered to survive what gets thrown at them.
We painted the entire thing from start to finish in-house, Golden Mural paints handling the fine detail work while Sherwin Williams covered the bold blocks and color fields, then shipped it north and installed it on-site. The result is a mural that looks like it was painted on the wall (because aesthetically it was) but with the durability of something built to last decades in a place that tests everything.
