St. Lucia is a different environment for a mural. Warm, humid, prone to sudden downpours. We painted a Greetings Tour piece at the Sugar Beach Viceroy Resort, handling the letter layout, the background, and the realistic detail work that makes a postcard read at a glance. The waterfall spanning the L and U letters is entirely spray paint: Montana cans building water in layers, gradients, luminosity, without a single brush stroke.
Caribbean weather arrived throughout. Rain came, we adapted, kept working. The job was finished on schedule because that’s what needs to happen when you’re painting on an island on a deadline. You work with what the conditions give you, not against them.
