Charleston is one of the clearest places where American Mural can point to a real, published local project rather than only adjacent portfolio fit. The studio collaborated with Greetings Tour on a public-facing mural built around Charleston landmarks, including the State Capitol, Abraham Lincoln sculpture, and a sternwheeler on the Kanawha River.

That gives this page a more honest footing than a generic service-area claim, but it is still the beginning of the local proof set, not a deep Charleston portfolio. For now, the strongest fit is placemaking, tourism-facing, hospitality-adjacent, and community-facing work that needs recognizable local storytelling and disciplined execution.

Selected work

Charleston proof, anchored in a real wall.

This page stays centered on the published Charleston mural itself rather than inflating local depth. The supporting projects show adjacent public-facing and place-based range.

Why Charleston

Local proof matters more than broad claims.

A Charleston page is worth publishing because there is already a named city project behind it. That is a better foundation than pretending to have broad local operating history the studio has not yet earned. The work shows that American Mural can translate city identity into a public-facing wall with real visual specificity.

Right now, Charleston most clearly proves placemaking, tourism-facing storytelling, and community visibility. That is enough to start a credible conversation with civic partners, hospitality-adjacent teams, and site owners who want a mural tied to place. It is not yet a reason to overstate depth across every local commercial category.
