American Mural designed and painted this Boston-themed mural for Greater Boston Smiles, a pediatric dental office in Quincy, Massachusetts. The client wanted playful cartoon teeth exploring the city, with Boston landmarks appearing throughout.
The daytime scenes follow the characters around Boston. One tooth kayaks along the Charles River near the Zakim Bridge, another skateboards by TD Garden, and another plays football with a ball marked by the New England Patriots logo. The city references give each activity a recognizable setting without making the wall feel too serious.
The mural shifts into nighttime for a quieter scene in which the tooth fairy visits a sleeping tooth. Together, the small vignettes move between sports, city landmarks, and a little bit of bedtime magic. These teeth keep busy!
