American Mural joined Greetings Tour to paint this 12-by-32-foot mural at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort in St. Lucia. The team shipped spray paint and specialized tools to the island in advance, then worked from scaffolding on the wall behind the Bayside Restaurant.
The letter scenes move from the beach to Diamond Falls and the Pitons. The waterfall across the L and U was painted entirely with spray paint, using layered color and soft gradients to build the water. Frequent rain slowed the work, but the building’s overhang kept enough of the wall dry for production to continue.
