American Mural led the four-person production team for this 17-by-30-foot Greetings Tour mural in Blairsville, Georgia. Greetings Tour prepared the design and preproduction; our lead painter worked alongside Ben Janik, Maple TCI, and Casey Bolding to transfer and paint it on site in five days.
The eleven letters hold more than twenty local references, including Brasstown Bald, Vogel State Park, Helton Creek Falls, Nottely Dam, the Union County courthouse, and the Appalachian Trail. Broad mountain shapes and letter shadows were built quickly with spray equipment; the team used spray paint and brushes for the smaller landmarks, figures, and signs.
