American Mural painted this GrOH! Playrooms project in Fairfax, Virginia while the room was still under construction. The mural wraps around a built-in treehouse, climbing wall, monkey bars, and swings, so the painted and physical elements had to line up as each part was installed.
The work took four days and several coats, particularly in the lighter pinks and oranges. We adjusted edges and shapes as construction moved around us, keeping the large color fields clean while preserving the small leaves, stones, and playful marks that give the room its character.
