This GrOH! Playrooms project in Needham was American Mural’s first ceiling mural. Large fields of teal, green, orange, and pink move across the ceiling and continue down the walls, tying together the play and study areas below.
We worked from a folding scaffold and used extension tools for the broad shapes, then moved closer for the smaller marks and clean edges. The project established a practical method for later overhead work: break the ceiling into manageable sections, keep the scaffold mobile, and check the full composition often from the floor.
