American Mural designed, fabricated, and painted this backdrop for the Transformers One premiere on the Upper East Side. Using the approved campaign artwork as source material, we created a unique mural composition for the event, built the flats in our studio, painted them with Montana spray paint, and installed the finished piece for Paramount Pictures and Hasbro.
The black, white, red, and blue design uses overspray, stencil-like marks, and hard graphic edges to give the event wall a hand-painted finish. It had to read clearly in press photos while also holding up at close range for guests standing directly in front of it.
